HOW IT ALL BEGAN

After their annual ministry conference in 2018, Bishop Kevin Truett & his wife Pastor Kristie were scheduled to minister at a crusade in Tanzania, Africa and deliver the commencement message at the Bible School graduation at Calvary Missions International. What happened next was completely unexpected.

They went to Africa to support their missionaries, Harry & Kathy McMichael who are the founders of Calvary Missions International. However, while visiting, the Lord revealed a massive need for good Biblical training and leadership development amongst the pastors and ministers there in Tanzania. Kevin & Kristie have always been about developing people and empowering them for ministry. They were honored to meet the CMI director, Dominic Gitau and his lovely wife Esther. They had been pastors and overseers in Kenya before parting ways with their organization and partnering with CMI in 2001. Kevin and Kristie knew they had to offer the Gitaus a covering and a ministry family to call their own. With great excitement and appreciation, the Gitaus accepted the invitation and Pastor Kevin & Kristie ordained them in the presence of their Bible college students hours before their return flight to America and Connection Life Ministries International was born. Pastor Dominic now serves CLMI as the International Overseer for the continent of Africa.

Only a few days after the Truetts returned to their own church in Salem, Oregon, USA, Bishop Truett received nearly 3,000 friend requests on Facebook and thousands of messages from ministers and pastors from all over the world requesting our training, spiritual guidance and covering. We now have over 400 pastors and leaders joining us for our Pastors & Leaders Conferences scheduled in Kenya, Uganda and of course Tanzania, where it all began.

In addition, we are also planning conferences in the Philippines, India, Europe & Pakistan with the sole purpose of winning souls to Christ, training leaders & pastors and empowering them to plant churches and expand the Kingdom of God.

CLMI has quickly become a growing fellowship with partners around the world from many denominations and organizations. CLMI is not a denomination, but will offer ministerial credentials and spiritual covering for ministers and churches who are in need of such.
